FireAde 2000 AFFF Fire Suppressing Agent We are continuously being asked about FireAde AFFF Foam being mixed with tradition foams. Please read for details on this issue. There may be situations where FireAde AFFF Foam comes into contact with other types of foam agents on the same type of fire or hazard, where they are being used simultaneously to fight the same fire. If the situation occurs it is clear that FireAde AFFF Foam can be added simultaneously with traditional foams. The urgent question that we are receiving from customers is can FireAde AFFF Foam Concentrate be mixed and stored in storage with traditional foams, for example in foam tanks for concentrate. Fire Service Plus, mc, has undergone extensive testing with traditional foam agents and has found that FireAde AFFF Foam is compatible with all foam agents which are fresh foam agents. Definition of FRESH: From a new batch of foam. The area of caution that we have for our customers is the fact that traditional foams have a very short shelf like once the seals are broken and the product is exposed to air. Most foam concentrates will become what’s described as stringy, thick, jelled, gummy, etc. When this takes place, the foam has to be discarded by the customer. A lot of times customers do not know they even have have a problem until they go to use the foam and it won’t perform. We caution our customers against mixing FireAde AFFF Foam with any foam that appear to be stringy, thick, jelled, gummy, etc. It’s not the fact that our Agent will not be able to perform; it’s a matter of the bad foam causing flowing problems when the Agents are discharged. The bad foam could cause clogging of the equipment eliminating FireAde AFFF Foam's ability to flow freely through nozzles, eductors, pumps, etc. CAUTION SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN ADDING FIREADE AFFF FOAM TO OLD FOAM CONCENTRATES. Another word of caution concerning mixing FireAde AFFF Foam with traditional foam agents. ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES! FireAde AFFF Foam has undergone the most extensive Environmental Testing verifying that FireAde AFFF Foam is Environmentally Safe. There are many types of foam on the market today which are not Environmentally Safe These foams contain hazardous and toxic ingredients and when mixed with FireAde AFFF Foam, the mixture becomes non-environmentally safe due to these foams which are not Environmentally Safe. FireAde AFFF Foam received the WGK 1 Classification through the Swiss GLP Monitoring Authorities, which inspected the RCC Ltd., Switzerland Testing Facility. The Swiss Accreditation Service and Swiss Federal Office of Metrology also tested in compliance with the European Standard EN 45001 under ACCREDITATION Number STS 085.
